“I hired Chris to deliver the opening keynote at the 2nd annual Global CIO Summit in Istanbul in October 2017. We were really pleased with how professional and passionate he was. By mixing psychology, data, and moving storytelling, he truly connected with our global audience and left us with clear next steps to creating a happier workforce. True to his brand, he set the stage for a positive, high-energy conference, and remained the subject of discussion long after he left the stage. I’m unsurprised that several of our attendees hired him for follow-up talks at their companies, including Fortune 500s. Chris is the kind of guy you could spend the day talking to, and we’re excited to have him back.”
After seeing his outstanding opening keynote at the 2017 Global CIO Summit (topic: how to inspire and motivate a young workforce using positive psychology), I decided to nominate Chris as the speaker for our annual executive strategy summit in Lake Sapanca, Turkey. Our goal was to identify new ways to improve our culture and retention (especially among young employees), so I thought Chris would be a great fit.
Thankfully, I was right. Chris is one of the most unique and exceptional outside experts we’ve worked with. Throughout our experience together he was positive, professional, and a joy to be around. The program he tailored to meet our needs, How to Hire, Engage, and Retain Digital Natives, was entertaining, insightful, and incorporated happiness science and psychology we hadn’t previously considered. Our audience of 50 directors and executives from Vodafone Turkey were engaged throughout: laughing, cheering, and scribbling lots of notes. At lunch, our CEO Colman Deegan couldn’t stop asking him questions!
We decided that day to purchase many more of Chris’s books and invite him back to speak to a much larger audience of employees. Chris helped create a positive, top-down impact on our company culture, and he and I still chat as friends about the importance of a happy work culture. Chris is an easy-to-work-with professional speaker with a refreshing topic, usable tools, and the style and content to impress a room full of experienced senior leaders. He was a slam dunk for us, and wins our highest recommendation.
After discovering Chris’s book The Millennial’s Guide to Making Happiness, I proposed that we bring him in as an outside speaker as part of our initiative to build a happier work culture.
It’s hard to overstate the impact he brought. Chris came in and delivered an insightful, interactive, highly-impassioned speech about how we can all use positive psychology to improve our work lives. He began with a story of his battles with depression in his own career path, followed by his unique and inspiring story of recovery and discovering his purpose to help others build happier lives.
Chris shared “positive psychology silver bullets” like how to use gratitude to improve relationships, how to use social media more constructively, how to boost our focus, and more. I knew Chris had affected more than just me when several of my coworkers lined up to get a copy of his book, then came up to thank me afterwards for bringing him in. One of our employees later told me that she needed that more than ever and that Chris had entirely changed her perspective on her own life.
Chris was a rockstar that we’d love to have back soon!
Chris was worth every penny.
Chris’s insight is invaluable to the modern business leader.
